Description:
The MSLP Program provides students from ethnic/minority backgrounds a professional mentor who is aware of the many challenges and benefits of being a minority in the profession of speech-language pathology/audiology. Through MSLP, students from minority backgrounds receive unique opportunities to explore, participate and experience various convention activities to facilitate leadership skills and develop career pathways in speech-language pathology and audiology.

Objectives:
1. For up to two students from ethnically diverse backgrounds (i.e. mentees) to receive mentorship in learning more about the unique opportunities available in the fields.
2. For the chosen student(s) to attend the MSHA Convention in order to learn from their mentor and network with other speech-language-hearing providers and employers.
3. For the student(s) to participate in learning opportunities provided during the MSHA Convention.
